Mark Morris entered their tilt with Hudson's Bay on Wednesday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. Give the Monarchs' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Keira McGinley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Shyanne Sellers was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two triples. Another player making a difference was Grace Woodbridge, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Mark Morris' victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Hudson's Bay, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Mark Morris will welcome Washougal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hudson's Bay will be paying especially close attention to the Monarchs' contest: after the Monarchs face off against Ridgefield, they'll take on Hudson's Bay again at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
