Lafayette extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-0. They put the hurt on the Cor Jesu Academy Chargers with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Lancers this season.

Shaye Witherspoon paced Lafayette's offense, picking up 18 kills. Witherspoon got some help from Hailey Lowery and her 27 assists. Witherspoon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aubrey Dumstorff, racking up two apiece.

As for Cor Jesu Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2. They haven't had much luck with Lafayette recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the loss, Cor Jesu Academy still got an impressive performance from Ginnie Normile, who had 14 digs and six assists. Normile is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Coming up, Lafayette will face off against Eureka at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cor Jesu Academy, they will take on Jefferson City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
