Baseball Recap: Harrison Central Comes Up Short

Harrison Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ocean Springs Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-1 loss on Friday.

Harrison Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parrish Laiche, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Ocean Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Harrison Central will face off against rival Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ocean Springs is set to take on their familiar foe D'Iberville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
