Recap: Dove Science Academy vs. Trinity Tigers
Dove Science Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Trinity.
Trinity's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan North, who scored 13 points. North scored a full 30.2% of Trinity's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Oliver Biedermann was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Dove Science Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Trinity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Dove Science Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on ASTEC Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Trinity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stillwater S at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
