Basketball Game Preview: Hicksville Aces vs. Paulding Panthers

The Hicksville Aces will challenge the Paulding Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Hicksville came up short against Liberty Center and fell 58-48. The Aces have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Paulding has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-27 heartbreaker at the hands of Parkway.

Paulding's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Hicksville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Hicksville was dealt a bruising 64-31 defeat at the hands of Paulding in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hicksville was down 37-14.
