Soccer Recap: Jersey Comes Up Short

Jersey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Triad Knights. While losing is never fun, Jersey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Triad are ranked 28th).

Jersey's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14-1. As for Triad, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jersey will host Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Triad, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Collinsville at 4:15 p.m.
