Basketball Recap: Quartz Hill Takes a Loss

Quartz Hill had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 71-66 to the Woodbridge Warriors on Monday.

Despite the loss, Quartz Hill still got an impressive performance from Ty'Jahwuan Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 21 boards. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last 30 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Robles, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 22 points.

Woodbridge had a senior duo take command as Jaiden Sabino went 7-for-15 on his way to 24 points along with five assists and three steals and Zaccaria Saleh dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Kishan Pandhoh was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Quartz Hill has already played their next contest, a 73-67 win against Oakwood on the 18th. As for Woodbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-57 defeat against Orange Lutheran on the 18th.
