Softball Game Preview: GMG Wolverines vs. Rockford Warriors

The GMG Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Rockford Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. GMG's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Rockford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

GMG made up a huge gap compared to their last game against B-G-M, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Wolverines' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, Rockford came up short against North Tama on Friday and fell 6-2.

GMG's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rockford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

GMG came out on top in a nail-biter against Rockford in their previous matchup back in June of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
