Volleyball Recap: Clark Chargers vs. The Meadows School Mustangs

Clark unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to The Meadows School Mustangs on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22.

Jermaine Simmons paced Clark's offense, picking up six kills. Simmons got some help from Justin Dacanay and his eight assists. Dacanay was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

The Meadows School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Roman Davis out in front who had 12 kills, ten digs, two aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Kung, who had five kills, three digs, and two blocks.

Clark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Del Sol on the 5th. As for The Meadows School, they will take on Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
