Basketball Game Preview: Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks vs. Western Plains Bobcats

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks will square off against the Western Plains Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Wheatland-Grinnell turned things around against Northern Valley on Friday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 48-37.

Meanwhile, Western Plains came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 45-40 W over the Cougars.

Wheatland-Grinnell's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Western Plains, their win bumped their record up to 5-1-1.

Wheatland-Grinnell didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Western Plains when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-40 victory.
