Alfred-Almond is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They took a blow against Mount Morris, falling 78-25.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canisteo-Greenwood). They breezed past Hammondsport to the tune of 85-34 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won eight in a row.

Canisteo-Greenwood pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for Alfred-Almond, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Alfred-Almond was dealt a bruising 72-22 defeat at the hands of Canisteo-Greenwood when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Alfred-Almond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
