Ambassador Christian School gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Gaston Christian Eagles. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five matchups in a row dating back to last season.

Ambassador Christian School was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-15, 15-8.

Gaston Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Christian School will be taking part in a tournament against Branchville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaston Christian, they will face off against Greensboro Day School at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
