Tri-Cities Prep strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Columbia Coyotes. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sam Deleon and Will Balcom made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Deleon struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Balcom tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Deleon a new career-high. At the plate, Deleon went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs, while Balcom went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Tri-Cities Prep let Jarrett Garza and Kenny Johnson run wild. Garza went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Johnson went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Johnson a new career-high. Jameson Elliott also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Tri-Cities Prep's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.6 runs this season. As for Columbia, they moved to 5-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tri-Cities Prep beat the Coyotes by a score of 19-2 later that day.
