Rio Grande City had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Roma last Tuesday. Rio Grande City put the hurt on Roma with a sharp 15-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Rattlers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Meanwhile, Mission Veterans Memorial made easy work of Martin on Tuesday and carried off a 17-2 win.

Alexa Ramirez looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mission Veterans Memorial got a massive performance out of Carolina De La Rosa, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Evoria Garcia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Rio Grande City's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything went Rio Grande City's way against Mission Veterans Memorial in their previous meeting back in February, as Rio Grande City made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rio Grande City since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
