New Bern Christian Academy never let Community Christian get on the board and left with a 15-0 win back in March. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Bern Christian Academy.
Preston Ryan and Aiden Britt made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Ryan didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Britt tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Ryan scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Britt scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Ryan has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Holden Popperwill and Joel Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Popperwill scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Miller scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Miller has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Ayden Hague was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
New Bern Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community Christian only posted an OBP of .176.
Meanwhile, Epiphany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Coastal Christian, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.
New Bern Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 16.5 runs. As for Epiphany, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
New Bern Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Epiphany in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Bern Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
