Cedar Cliff won the last time they faced Altoona and Landon Howell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Colts were the clear victors by a 28-6 margin over the Mountain Lions on Friday with plenty of help from Howell, who rushed for 126 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Cedar Cliff is 4-1 when Howell posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

One reason for the win was Cedar Cliff's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Tommy Calderone was the leader with two.

Despite the loss, Altoona still got an impressive performance from Cody Chathams, who picked up 59 receiving yards and one TD.

The victory made it two in a row for Cedar Cliff and bumps their season record up to 5-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Carlisle and 2-7 Altoona. As for Altoona, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
