Myrtle Beach had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 2-0 to make it six. They strolled past the Marion Swamp Foxes with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. For the Seahawks, this counts as revenge for the 58-47 victory the Swamp Foxes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

As for Marion, they now have a losing record of 1-2. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Marion still got an impressive performance from Ian Gause, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Gause is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rodrick Dickerson, who posted six points and seven boards.

Myrtle Beach has already played their next contest, a 53-50 win against Manning on the 6th. As for Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-37 loss against Lexington on the 6th.
