Del Oro and Sheldon are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Golden Eagles will take on the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Oro will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.
Del Oro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Davis Sr. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

05/14/25 vs Turlock | 9 |
05/07/25 @ Granite Bay | 7 |

04/23/25 vs Oak Ridge | 16 |
Mikayla Finn tossed a big game, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Abby Davidson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Kate Brown 2026 was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Del Oro hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matches.
Sheldon came out on top against Pleasant Grove on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Eagles 8-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.
Micah Kennedy made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off eight hits. Kennedy was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Chapman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Miyani Marshall, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Del Oro pushed their record up to 27-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sheldon, their record is now 19-9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Del Oro has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sheldon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Del Oro was able to grind out a solid victory over Sheldon in their previous meeting back in March, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
