Baseball Recap: Hill Country Christian School of Austin Comes Up Short

Hill Country Christian School of Austin was the 7-6 winner over Texans Baseball Homeschool when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Texans on Thursday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Berzins, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Jackson Rose, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Texans Baseball Homeschool, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Hill Country Christian School of Austin will welcome Round Rock Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Texans Baseball Homeschool, they are taking a road trip to take on Texas Wind at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Texas Wind has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.13 runs per game on average), something Texans Baseball Homeschool will no doubt try to take advantage of.
