Softball Game Preview: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Steele Canyon Cougars

Valhalla hasn't had much luck against Steele Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Norsemen will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m.

Valhalla is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Granite Hills. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Norsemen have suffered since March 24th.

Avery Voth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Steele Canyon was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over West Hills. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly three runs.

Belle Will spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isabella Azevedo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Trujillo, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The win got Steele Canyon back to even at 11-11-1. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
