While Mount Horeb's  win against Sauk Prairie wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Eagles  5-3. The  victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.
 Jayse Holman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched four innings while giving up  three earned runs off   three  hits. Holman was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs and six  RBI while going 2-for-2. She also put up two  runs, which were her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Mount Horeb got a  massive  performance out of  Hallie Klein, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Ellie Larson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4.
The  win was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Sauk Prairie,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Mount Horeb didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  victory against McFarland on the 10th. As for Sauk Prairie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  9-0  defeat against Reedsburg on the 10th.
