Football Recap: Johnson Central Extends Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

Johnson Central extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. Everything went their way against the Pulaski County Maroons as they made off with a 50-30 win. The Golden Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Logan Music had a dynamite game, rushing for 234 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 14.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 118.5 rushing yards per game.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Johnson Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 317 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Several Maroons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kasen Brock, who picked up 82 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 84 yards. Another player making a difference was Zak Anderson, who threw for 229 yards and three TDs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson Central will host Boyd County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Golden Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pulaski County, they will challenge South Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Maroons will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches.
