Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only New Hanover walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Rolesville Rams with a sharp 68-47 win on Tuesday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

New Hanover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nolan Billings, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Billings is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kellum Brown, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

New Hanover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Rolesville had strong showings from Cannon Marshall, who posted seven points and six rebounds, and Anthony Roberts, Jr, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Jenkins, who earned six points.

New Hanover's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.9 points. As for Rolesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

New Hanover will look to defend their home court on Friday against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in New Hanover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Rolesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
