Volleyball Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Coronado Cougars

Arbor View has won four straight games at home, while Coronado has won four straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Aggies will welcome the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Desert Oasis, who was ranked 15th at the time (Arbor View was ranked fifth). The Aggies walked away with a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Aggies in their matchups with the Diamondbacks: they've now won seven in a row.

Arbor View had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23.

Arbor View found their leader in freshman Marc Jordan Morre, who had 23 digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Morre.

Arbor View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Coronado beat Foothill 3-1 on Tuesday.

The win didn't come easy: Foothill scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 28-2. As for Arbor View, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.
