Volleyball Recap: Dawson School Takes a Loss

Dawson School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lyons Lions. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-6, 25-5.

Dawson School's offense was headlined by Claire Collins and Pipsa Gronholm, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Gabby Green and her five assists. Finally, Collins was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Dawson School's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lyons, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Dawson School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Front Range Christian on the 9th. As for Lyons, they are taking a road trip to square off against Heritage Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
