Baseball Recap: Advance Hornets vs. Woodland Cardinals

After flying high against Leopold on Tuesday, Advance came back down to earth. The Hornets took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodland Cardinals on Thursday. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jameson Hamlin put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
