Volleyball Recap: Lone Star Takes a Loss

Lone Star lost against Wylie back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rangers fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-1.

Despite the loss, Lone Star still got an impressive performance from Tilah Perez, who had 22 digs and three aces. Perez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Camille Perry also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lone Star has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. As for Wylie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Lone Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Celina on the 26th. As for Wylie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Plano on the 23rd.
