Baseball Game Preview: Scurry-Rosser Wildcats vs. Rains Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Scurry-Rosser will be strutting in after a win while Rains will be coming in after a defeat.

Scurry-Rosser is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Canton on Thursday. Scurry-Rosser's pitchers stepped up to hand Canton a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Peavy, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Rains fell victim to Canton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Eagles since March 20, 2018.

Rains is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Scurry-Rosser, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Scurry-Rosser might still be hurting after the 8-2 defeat they got from Rains when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Scurry-Rosser avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
