Baseball Recap: Clarksdale Takes a Loss

Clarksdale lost against New Hope back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 7-1 to the Trojans. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clarksdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terrell Johhnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Johhnson also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Clarksdale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for New Hope, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season.

Clarksdale will host Corinth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats faces off against the Warriors, they'll take on New Hope again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
