Recap: Valley Oaks CES Vanguards vs. Triumph Charter Jaguars
The Valley Oaks CES Vanguards's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Triumph Charter 78-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Oaks CES in their matchups with Triumph Charter: they've now lost eight in a row.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 20 points. Garcia III is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Jiho, who scored ten points.
Valley Oaks CES's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Triumph Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Oaks CES will take on Lakeview Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Triumph Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against CHAMPS at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
