Basketball Game Preview: Little Village Phoenix vs. St. Patrick Shamrocks

Little Village's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dion Boyd Jr, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Boyd Jr has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Tyshawn Miller was another key player, putting up 19 points and five assists.

Little Village smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 17 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, St. Patrick blew past Westinghouse, posting a 95-44 victory. The Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

St. Patrick's win bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Little Village, their victory bumped their record up to 27-6.
