Basketball Recap: Greenback Comes Up Short

Greenback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of the Midway Green Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cherokees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-42 back in January.

Greenback's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Midway, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Greenback will challenge Pigeon Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenback is facing Pigeon Forge at the right time seeing as Pigeon Forge is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Midway, they will square off against Harriman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
