Baseball Recap: Carson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Carson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Damonte Ranch Mustangs 4-3. For the Senators, this counts as revenge for the 11-3 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Max Mendoza looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Carson: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 3-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tyler LaFollette was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Carson's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't).

Carson's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Damonte Ranch, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Carson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 5th. As for Damonte Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-3 loss against Bishop Manogue on the 5th.
