It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Strasburg-Franklin had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Frontier Cougars with a sharp 16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 19 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Miley Reifenschneider was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Strasburg-Franklin let Olivia Spidell and Madalyn Whalen run wild. The win (which was Strasburg-Franklin's fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.

Coming up, Strasburg-Franklin will be playing at home against Dover at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
