Baseball Recap: Phoenix Country Day Eagles vs. Trivium Prep Crimson Knights
Phoenix Country Day can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 12-5 margin over the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for Phoenix Country Day.
Frank Kaplan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Rose, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
On Trivium Prep's side, Isaiah Lopez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Lopez has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Lopez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Powers, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
