Football Game Preview: Frankston Indians vs. Carlisle Indians

Frankston will face off against Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Frankston's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Frankston barely beat Kerens the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Bobcats 34-12 on Friday. The score was close at halftime, but the Indians pulled away in the second half with 19 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carlisle). They blew past Cross Roads, posting a 47-0 victory. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Frankston better keep an eye on Antonio Ibarra. He was instrumental in Carlisle's win, throwing for 241 yards and three touchdowns while completing 93.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 74 yards on only six carries. Preston Armstrong was another key player, rushing for 78 yards and a pair of TDs.

Carlisle's run defense was locked in: Cross Roads could only muster 0.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Jayden Nardozza for the heroic effort on defense: he. Carlisle's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.93 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.2 on average over their last five games.

Carlisle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Frankston, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
