Softball Recap: Service Cougars vs. Chugiak Mustangs
After flying high against Dimond on Wednesday, Service came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Chugiak Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 25-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Wednesday.
Kira Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Maliana Tavai also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Service's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Chugiak, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Looking ahead, Service will venture away from home to take on West Anchorage at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
