Baseball Recap: Grove Victorious

The Grove Ridgerunners earned a 6-1 victory over the Kansas Comets on Thursday.

Dustin Keller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Walker West was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

The win got Grove back to even at 7-7. As for Kansas, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-4.

Coming up, Grove will welcome Rejoice Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kansas, they will head out on the road to take on Jay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
