The biggest upset of the week belonged to Smithfield-Selma, who took down 229th ranked Harnett Central, 21-16.

Garner Magnet extended the longest winning streak in 4A Greater Neuse River this week by beating West Johnston, 56-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Trojans.

Garner Magnet's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Vincent Jefferies has thrown for 959 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Armani Lanier has 27 catches for 533 yards. Raevon Smith leads the league in rushing with 826 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Garner Magnet takes on Knightdale. Nelson Smith's team has allowed 89 points this season, while the Knights have given up 119. The Trojans allowed 7 points last week as they defeated the Wildcats.

The Spartans moved up to 297 from 328 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 21-16 win over the Trojans helped Smithfield-Selma improve its standing.
