Loranger waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Independence Tigers 14-3. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Loranger's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-15. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Independence, they moved to 15-13 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Loranger will challenge Archbishop Hannan on the 22nd. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 3.9, the Hawks 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Independence, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-2 win against East Feliciana on the 14th.
