Baseball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-8 to the Ribault Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in February.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Ribault, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Westside will be playing in front of their home fans against Yulee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Ribault, they will head out to square off against First Coast at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
