Basketball Game Preview: Philo Electrics vs. Caldwell Redskins

The Philo Electrics and the Caldwell Redskins will round out the year against one another at at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Philo beat Lakewood 43-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Electrics.

Meanwhile, Caldwell put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Belpre as Caldwell made off with a 54-34 victory. While the Redskins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Philo, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Philo ended up a good deal behind Caldwell in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, losing 74-56. Can Philo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
