Basketball Recap: East St. Louis Makes It Four in a Row at Home

East St. Louis had won three straight home games and Tyrik Barnes did his part to make it four on Thursday. The East St. Louis Flyers came out on top against Miller Career Academy by a score of 61-52 thanks in part to Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

East St. Louis' win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Miller Career Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

East St. Louis will take on Urbana at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. East St. Louis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
