Volleyball Game Preview: Gulf Coast Sharks vs. Canterbury Cougars + How To Watch

The Gulf Coast Sharks will challenge the Canterbury Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Gulf Coast sitting on three straight victories and Canterbury on four.

On Tuesday, Gulf Coast made easy work of Aubrey Rogers and carried off a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-19.

Julianna Argueta was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 21 assists and five digs. Those 21 assists gave her a new career-high.

Gulf Coast was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are a perfect 15-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Canterbury got the win against Community School of Naples on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted against the Seahawks since October 11, 2022.

Canterbury was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-23.

Canterbury now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Gulf Coast, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.

Gulf Coast was able to grind out a solid victory over Canterbury when the teams last played back in August, winning 3-1. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
