Hendersonville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the East Henderson Eagles by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Hendersonville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Averie Russell was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 27 digs and three aces.

Coming up, Hendersonville is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on T.C. Roberson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
