Softball Recap: Harrison Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

While Harrison's win against Danville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Warriors 9-8. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Becca Knight, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Anna Hainje also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Harrison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .412 or higher in four consecutive games.

Harrison's record now sits at 5-1. As for Danville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Harrison will take on Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Danville, they will challenge Bethesda Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
