Softball Recap: Clewiston Takes a Loss

Clewiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Avon Park Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 back in February.

Samantha Aragus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kamila Vallejo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Clewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Avon Park, their record now sits at 7-5.

Clewiston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against LaBelle on the 4th. As for Avon Park, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 victory against Lakeland on the 3rd.
