Softball Recap: Parchment Panthers vs. Kalamazoo Christian Comets
Parchment had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-5 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Kalamazoo Christian Comets by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.
As for Kalamazoo Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 14.0 runs this season.
For Kalamazoo Christian's part, Liz Younkers looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Younkers has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
