Baseball Recap: Richmond High School for the Arts Takes a Loss

Richmond High School for the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Petersburg Crimson Wave, falling 22-5. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 21-4 to the Crimson Wave when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Richmond High School for the Arts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kei'Twan Spruill, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Richmond High School for the Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Petersburg, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond High School for the Arts will challenge Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Petersburg, they will venture away from home to take on Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
