Foothill has gone 8-2 against Carondelet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Foothill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Foothill proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Granada, sneaking past 5-3.

Myra Galzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sophia Burdick was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaycie Burdick, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Carondelet challenged Dougherty Valley on Thursday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.
Carondelet also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Maia Scholtens gave up three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Carondelet saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joyal Colquitt, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Arielle Henriquez was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Foothill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Carondelet, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Foothill took their victory against Carondelet in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
